About Us

Welcome family and friends, old and new! We're very excited that you've deiced to join us on the incredible journey that will be our international adoption from Samoa.

I'm Nicole and I'll be taking you along on this journey through my postings. A little about me? I'm a late 20 something and I've spent my entire life in rural North Carolina. I love it here and wouldn't trade it for the world! My second home is the beach. I love laying in the sand and reading a good book or going out into the water for a swim. Our future child will be a beach babe for sure! In my spare time, I love to cook and try different types of foods. Cooking has become a great passion of mine and I love hosting small get-togethers for our family and friends. I'm a country girl at heart and love my down home roots and family values.

This is my my better half and future dad, Steve. He's quite the opposite of me and we live on separate ends of the spectrum, but somehow we're perfect with each other. He also grew up in rural North Carolina, but he's very much a metal head. We have completely different tastes in music. When he's driving you can hear the bass of some of his favorite bands like Amon Amarth and Mastodon. I'm a country girl, so sometimes there's a sneaky radio station change on long trips. Steve is big into hockey, we're a divided house when it comes to hockey. He's a huge Chicago Blackhawks fan and I root for the home team, the Carolina Hurricanes. Tiny Human (as we've affectionately been calling our future child) will learn all about the dynamics and fun of hockey. We just have to wait and see which team he roots for. He's also big into football and loves watching NASCAR. Steve is looking forward to being a father and has been a great dad to our dog and bearded dragon.

We got married on October 31st of 2015. It was a very unorthodox wedding and very Halloween themed. We decided to have the wedding at our favorite bar, I wore a black dress, Steve wore a kilt, and our officiant dressed up as a witch. It just goes to show that we're a quirky couple who follows the beat of their own drum. We'll be promoting these kind of morals into our future kin. We have since built our lives together in our small home in a suburb of Greensboro, NC. We currently have 1 dog, Moxxi and 1 bearded dragon, Toothless. We rescued both of our animals and both our "babies" are spoiled rotten. We're looking forward to this adventure and willing to go through whatever's needed to bring home Tiny Human! We hope you'll stick around to see what we get in to.
